We donated the same amount of Ruby Cups in 2019 as we did in the past 3 years combined!

January was the month the Ruby Cup Black joined as a permanent colour in our shop and went from being a limited edition to the absolute best-seller.
We had a colourful February, with five brand new Ruby Clean colours to match each Ruby Cup ones.

The first student-led distribution took place in Angola, in collaboration with UNHCR. Over 300 Ruby Cups are distributed to Congolese girls and women living in a refugee camp in north of Angola
Every Ruby Cup you bought in May included two further Ruby Cups that are donated to women struggling to afford safe period products. Our annual Buy One Give Two campaign is part of our effort to raise awareness for Menstrual Health Day on May 28th.

In preparation for Plastic Free July, our shipping department came up with solutions on how to decrease the environmental impact of our packaging. All packages have been sent out in paper envelopes instead of biodegradable plastic envelopes.
We celebrated #PlasticFreeJuly by raising awareness about the harmful plastic waste in single-use period products. You shared the message and took the #bloodywastechallenge Together you saved a whopping 15.700 pieces of bloody waste!
We celebrated reaching & whooshing past the 10k followers. We highly value the time you take to leave comments and respond to our stories. We read and appreciate every single one of them
We attended Women Deliver, the world's biggest conference on gender equality and the health, rights, and well-being of girls and women.

Our remote team met for a week in Barcelona for our first team retreat.
Fighting period poverty in the UK: We partnered with UK based Ditch The Rag and Bryony Farmer to distribute 60 Ruby Cups in a London school for our first donation of Ruby Cups in the UK.
The much-requested sample rings for our resellers arrived. We collaborated with Arrels a local foundation that works to transform the lives of homeless people in Barcelona to create these sample rings.
